An iterative process

ERM CVS understands the challenges and stress of the reporting process. We believe in an iterative assurance process, working closely with you at corporate level to reduce year-end stress and ensure, as far as possible, that issues are resolved as they arise. Where possible we work with the reporting co-ordinator and writer(s) at an early stage to help avoid problems later such as ‘greenwash’ language and claims that cannot be substantiated. By reporting back to you on the results of our assurance work at each stage, you can make any necessary adjustments to the data or narrative during the process.

Credibility with external stakeholders

ERM CVS will work with you, at the proposal stage, to help ensure the assurance scope meets the needs of management and of the organisation’s stakeholders. We are independent and impartial and play ‘devil’s advocate’ – challenging your reporting and helping you to understand and respond to potential stakeholder criticism before the report is published, reducing reputational risks.

Reliable information for strategic management decisions

Using our extensive experience in both sustainability reporting and management systems ERM CVS will identify and discuss risks in the reporting systems and processes with you throughout the engagement, enabling corrective actions. Corrective action during the report development provides more confidence in the quality of the information for internal, as well as external stakeholder decision making.
