Ford Motor Company
History Inspired, Thinking Forward. BLUEPRINT FOR SUSTAINABILITY 2013/14

• Flag has worked with Ford on its sustainability reporting since 2002, providing strategic advice, information architecture, design expertise and full production services. In this time, Ford’s reporting has been highly acclaimed, receiving a host of awards.
• Under the theme ‘Blueprint for Sustainability’, the microsite (this year entitled ‘History Inspired, Thinking Forward’) forms the seventh in Ford’s Blueprint series of reports.
• The 2013/14 microsite is aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative G3 guidelines at Level A and details Ford’s environmental and social performance. It includes detailed content on six leading material issues – financial health, climate change and the environment, water, people, supply chain and vehicle safety, along with a section on ‘Ford around the world’.
• This year, the site was built in a completely fluid manner ensuring that all elements, including interactive graphics, adapt to work on tablets and smartphones as well as PC screens.
• The design is intuitive, engaging and visually enticing with photography and repeated use of the same easily identifiable icons as last year, representing the key issues.

Vodafone Group
Sustainability Report 2013/14

• Having worked with Vodafone for six years to produce robust, award-winning reports, we were commissioned to provide design consultancy and technical expertise for the 2013 sustainability reporting suite.
• The main objective was to refresh the existing report structure ensuring the visual approach reflected the breadth of sustainability issues at Vodafone and the company’s areas of thought leadership. The report outlines Vodafone’s social, economic and environmental impacts and contributions across the world, illustrating their impact using case studies which demonstrate how mobile technology improves livelihoods and transform societies.
• We built the report within Vodafone’s existing content management system and provided design consultancy to help make sure the site was as engaging as possible and would draw users into the key issue areas, using powerful, emotive imagery to do so.
• To maximise accessibility for varying stakeholder needs, we produced a full PDF of the report, which is available to download from the microsite.
